Free Summer Meals Program - June 21 to August 5, 2022
With summer right around the corner, it’s time to think about keeping children healthy while school is out. The School District of the City of York provides free meals to children during the long hot summer. This summer, meals will be served from June 21st until August 5th and no income requirements or registration are necessary. The District has a walk-in program for children 18 and under to receive a free lunch, Monday through Friday during the 7 weeks of the program, excluding holidays. This year, the walk-in program will be held at Davis K-8, Ferguson K-8, Hannah Penn K-8, McKinley K-8, and William Penn High School. Breakfast will be served from 8 – 9am and lunch from 11am – 1pm daily. This is a service also offered to other programs in our area to provide meals to their campers for the summer at no cost. If your group is interested in participating in this program, please contact Mark Kamyszek at (717) 849-1306.
Meals will be provided to all children without charge and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.
