January 30, 2023 Meeting
The district held its fourth Listen and Learn Meeting on Monday, January 30, 2023. The meeting was held from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at Hannah Penn and the community was invited to attend. District Administration discussed information about the budget and an updated budget timeline from January throughout May 2023 was provided. The district is on track to have a final proposed budget by May to be adopted. Discussion of taxes and projections for the general fund budget generated talk from the attendees. With the district exiting Financial Recovery, we still must do what we have done to get to this level, so we can maintain it. Updates on grants were also provided. The audience engaged in discussing wants and needs that they would like to see included in the budget. There are two more sessions left, one virtual and one at STEAM Academy. November 21, 2022 Meeting
On Monday, November 21, 2022, we held our third Listen and Learn Meeting. These sessions are designed to provide information about the budget and get feedback from the stakeholders. They last approximately one hour and give stakeholders an opportunity to talk about the district's wants and needs in their eyes. The information collected is utilized to create data charts and becomes a part of the district’s budget presentation. There is a session each month until March of 2023. Please join us for a session. October 24, 2022 Meeting
On Monday, October 24, 2022, we held our second Listen and Learn Meeting. These sessions are designed to provide information about the budget and get feedback from the stakeholders. They last approximately one hour and give stakeholders an opportunity to talk about the district's wants and needs in their eyes. September 26, 2022 Meeting
The district’s first Listen and Learn for the 2022-2023 school year was held on Monday, September 26, 2022, from 5:30-6:30 PM virtually. During this session, there was an explanation of the budget process and a tentative timeline shared as well. There was also a discussion about the difference between wants and needs for the district budget. This session had approximately 16 participants and was very informative. We thank both the participants and the staff who participated. Please join us for the next session in October, which will enable us to start digging deeper in the process of building the 2022-2023 budget.
